Providers of EBAC accredited CME events must comply with a certain
number of clearly defined requirements. They are obligatory, and
not optional. For further details please click here to read the
"Recommendations for CME providers".
Any promotional material concerning the accredited CME event (web
pages, brochures, programmes, hand-books etc.) should contain two
standard texts:
EBAC Standard Text on Accreditation which should
be accompanied by the EBAC logo placed next to it:
"The < title of the CME activity>
is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology
(EBAC) for <number of hours> hours of External CME credits.
Each participant should claim only those hours
of credit that have actually been spent in the educational activity.
EBAC works in cooperation with the European Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution
of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS)."
EBAC Standard Text on Disclosure:
"In compliance with EBAC/EACCME guidelines,
all speakers/chairpersons participating in this programme have
disclosed potential conflicts of interest that might cause a bias
in the presentations.
The Organizing Committee is responsible for ensuring that all
potential conflicts of interest relevant to the event are declared
to the audience prior to the CME activities."
